KwaZulu Natal’s North coast has shown exponential growth and has become a popular commercial investment choice among corporations. The Umhlanga Ridge area is one of the most popular areas for commercial use due to its locality and has quickly become home to several multinational companies.

It’s not just about renting a property but it’s about finding the perfect property that will create the best working environment and Umhlanga Ridge does just that with its modern architecture and sea views.  Gateway and Umhlanga Village are just a stone’s throw away which enhances the appeal of the Umhlanga area as does the proximity to the up and coming commercial sector development, Cornubia.

There are currently a number of land and development options available in Cornubia, however, these are being snapped up quickly as many foresee Cornubia becoming the new Umhlanga.

Other desirable nodes are Durban North and Morningside due to its central locality, accessibility and affordability with prices ranging between R100/m2 to R125/m2.

Major commercial properties in the La Lucia/Umhlanga area are along the popular Armstrong Avenue, Umhlanga Rocks Drive and in Ridgeside Office Park.  With the likes of JT Ross, FWJK, Growthpoint, etc planning massive developments and extensions, these areas are going to be the number 1 target for new corporations with rentals ranging from R135/m2 to R250/m2.
