OVERVIEW
The most sort after industrial and logistics property in the greater Durban area is located from Maydon Wharf in the Port down the narrow corridor of land between the sea and the N2 highway. This narrow corridor includes Congella, Jacobs, Mobeni and parts of Clairwood and runs all the way to the end of Prospecton where the Amazimtoti River creates a natural boundary to what is known as the Southern Basin of Durban.

Prospecton is known as Zone 3 by transporters that divide the Southern Basin into Zones for purposes of trucking costs from the Port to a facility.

Prospecton Industrial is located South of Durban, adjacent to the old Durban International Airport and the N2 Freeway. Prospecton is exactly 20 kms from the Port of Durban via the N2 and the M4 freeways.
NEARBY INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL NODES
Prospecton Park is located adjacent to Joyner Road but is accessed via a circular road, Transport Drive. Transport Drive provides access to both the North and Southern boundary of the Park. Tranport Drive is a node of Prospecton which is home to a number of sectional title estates and a proposed sectional title property.
Murrayfield Industrial Park is located on the corner of Prospecton Road and the Avenue East. It is a multi-tenanted secure park.
Prospecton has a small commercial node that has convenience retailers and services. This serves the greater area.
NEARBY AMENITIES
The nearest amenities and public facilities are located in the neighbouring suburb, Amanzimtoti. Situated within a 2km radius is the Kingsway Hospital, Galleria Shopping Mall, Amanzimtoti Primary School, The Village Mall and Old Mutual Centre. Directly South of Southgate and running along the N2 is the new proposed and currently under construction 'Arbour Villiage', which is a proposed retail, office and light Industrial Park.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
There are numerous public transport nodes in Propsecton including rail, bus and taxi facilities. Metrorail has two stations in Prospecton and there is a taxi rank to service the area.
